Pointless Life Ambition No. 44

To write a bildungsroman that captures the zeitgeist, and yet also reflects the deep weltschmerz of my generation but without dwelling on its angst, as if in a kind of Caufieldian schadenfreude. It's backdrop would be the sturm und drang of the weltanschauung, but would also consider the current schwärmerei for all things kitsch.

Of course, it would naturally be translated into German.
